She was walking
And suddenly some men started chasing her.
On her way to home she saw them and started moving fast .She moved to her right to give them enough space to walk past, but they moved to the right too. She moved further right and they moved yet again to block her. She instantly knew she was in trouble. Before she could realize what was happening. Both the guys were on either side on her , stopped her from moving on. She screamed. Busy road as it was supposed to be, suddenly was empty for a few seconds. One of them started putting lewd comments on her. Everything happened is such a split second. She managed to gather enough courage to move on.
She begged with the crowd to help her catch them while fighting her tears. All she could think was, that she cannot let go off these. Enough was enough. Nobody moved. They just looked her as if she was speaking some different language. She enoughly managed herself to look back them and started talking with a volt in her voice and a cruised courage.
She screamed and with this short spam of time a boy of mid 20's came and remained besides her and suddenly the whole market gathered around those guys and started beating them.
She enoughly got a good response when she started to speak herself.
The story illustrates that although you can always pretend to ignore all those lewd comments but things would be better if you'll look into the eyes of oppressor and start speaking up. Eve Teasing an arising curse for society has developed so much that no major steps and actions are taken againist it. The first thing that needs a change is that victim has to stop feeling like a culprit. And this change is only possible if the attitude of the society changes towards the victims. Didn’t we have had enough already? Isn’t it the time we change the men in the society? Instead of asking our daughters to stay indoors, teach our sons to respect women as equals. How much more does a regular girl needs to suffer.
